Tilos TruFit Boots: Designed for Comfort and Performance
At Tilos, we are dedicated to fostering a deep connection between our customers and the marine world. To that end, we've designed our TruFit Boots to provide innovative, durable, and comfortable footwear that enhances every dive.
The Unique Shape of TruFit Boots The TruFit Boots are designed to mimic the shape of the human foot. This unique shape allows people with wider feet to fit into the same boot as the average width foot. It also reduces the extra length needed to fit the forefoot into traditionally shaped boots. This means less extra space for water movement, making the boots a warmer option.
The 3D arch provides extra support and stability, which is very important when wearing heavy equipment, often on a moving deck.
Adjusting to the Snug Fit The Tilos TruFit Boots may feel too small or constricting at first. This is because for many years, diving boots have been oversized, and your foot may not be used to boots with a lower volume.
Here are some tips to help you adjust: 1. The Tilos TruFit Boots have a lower volume than most boots that have been sold for many years. They might take some getting used to, but new divers who have never worn dive boots will love them, while experienced divers might be more apt to think they are tight. 2. Try walking around in them for a few minutes before you decide they are too tight. Like a new pair of sneakers, as your foot settles into the boot, it will loosen up and you will get used to it. 3. Make sure you're not trying the Tilos TruFit Boots on with a sock (unless you are planning to wear socks with them). 4. A snug fit is what you want with a dive boot. It provides more support and a warmer boot. 5. The boots are shorter than the previous models, so if you are on the high end of a 9-1/2 and always wore a 9, you might need to size up. This also depends on the toe length, which dictates the overall profile of your foot.
If you see the neoprene stretching past the width of the sole or your foot feels cold or tingles, then the boots are really too tight, and you should try another style. Tilos TruFit Boots may not work for people with wide, high-volume feet.
Tilos TruFit Family The Tilos TruFit Family includes several models to meet your diving and watersports needs:
3mm Short Beach Boot: Low cut for warmer water dives or topside activities. Features 3mm Titanium neoprene, double-glued and blindstitched construction, and a 3D arch for support and stability.
3mm/5mm Titanium Boot: Available in 5mm or 3mm Titanium neoprene. Double-glued and blindstitched construction with a 3D arch, water barrier YKK #8 zipper.
7mm Puncture Res Boot: 7mm Titanium neoprene with a high rubber toe and instep guard to protect the boots and your foot. Double-glued and blindstitched construction, water barrier YKK #8 zipper, and a punch-resistant sole.
5mm Thermoflare Boot: 8" (20.3cm) lengthened height with Thermoflare lining throughout the boot, which won't absorb water, meaning less work for your body to heat the boot and quicker drying times. Features a double smoothskin zipper guard, glideskin entry seal, high rubber toe and instep guard, and a punch-proof sole.
